Priyanka Chopra Wore Versace To The ‘Citadel’ Mumbai Premiere

Following the press conference Priyanka Chopra was back for the Mumbai premiere of the Amazon TV series ‘Citadel’ on Tuesday (April 4).

Starting with her Versace Fall 2023 dress.

It’s a beautiful dress.  I love flair, the energy and the slit which adds a touch of the signature Versace sex appeal, but this isn’t Priyanka’s dress.

I would’ve loved to have seen this on someone with a playful personality like Anne Hathaway, Anya Taylor-Joy, or Miley Cyrus.

However, the real crime here is the styling.

Those shoes should be nowhere near this gown.  Them being in the same room as this dress is crime against fashion.

I don’t get why those platforms were even a consideration unless the goal was for her to be as tall as her co-star Richard Madden.

And then we get to the Bulgari Serpenti bracelet which immediately feels like an afterthought.

When Nieves Álvarez wears Bulgari pieces they complements her look.  In some cases they make her look. 

Priyanka’s styling was as ill-thought out as the dress.  The only saving grace is that she didn’t opt for the runway gloves.

Her Robert Wun, Rasario and Nicolas Jebran moments seem like a distant memory.

Usually a start of a promo tour is when we get the best looks, so I am not looking forward to the rest of it.

So unless a certain stylist steps out of retirement (and he is adamant that he will not be), I don’t know where Priyanka goes from here, because at the moment, things are going downhill….fast. 

It shouldn’t be this difficult to dress a global star. It really shouldn’t.
